A Laneway House Project

My friend, Vince, is building a laneway house behind the Vancouver house he grew up in. He is documenting the entire process in an informative blog: thelanewayhouse.com. Follow along as he goes from finding the right architectural design, to acquiring the building permits from the city, to finding furniture to fit the contemporary look of the home, while befitting his growing family and staying within his budget.

Vince hired Lanefab, a local Vancouver company specializing in laneway houses, to build his future home. Demolition and excavation started just over a month ago in February, and we catch up with the project as the framing and roof are completed.
